Robert Kohlbry

Robert Kohlbry serves as Global Head of Structured Finance at WaneGlobal, based in Abu Dhabi, where he leads the firm's structured finance and transaction execution activity across its international investment portfolio.

Robert brings decades of experience at the highest levels of global structured finance. He spent a significant part of his career at Deutsche Bank, where he was involved in complex portfolio analysis, transaction structuring, and process engineering — including during the landmark merger of Deutsche Bank with Banker's Trust and the integration of Morgan Grenfell's portfolios, one of the most complex structured finance integration exercises in modern banking history. He subsequently founded RWK Consulting, through which he advised financial institutions on structured products, trade capture, and operational efficiency, and held senior roles in the energy sector at Split Rock Energy.

At WaneGlobal, Robert brings this institutional depth and technical precision to the structuring of principal transactions across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and international capital markets — ensuring that the firm's investment activity meets the highest standards of financial engineering and risk management.

Robert studied financial mathematics at NYU and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and French from the University of Minnesota. He holds a License des Lettres from L'Université Stendahl, Grenoble, France.
